Béatrice Megale, fondatrice de TALE.jpg

It is within the luxury ready-to-wear houses for which she has worked (Christian Lacroix, Balenciaga, Nina Ricci, Paloma for Chanel Métiers d'Art, Mugler ...) that Béatrice Megale has cultivated her taste for materials, shapes and colors.

After having created COLTÉ , a collection of hand-painted, embroidered breastplates ... handcrafted in a unique copy, she continues her creative research and her training by carrying out screen printing courses in various Parisian workshops. She feels a real affinity for this technique.

TALE is then born.

Drawing on her experience acquired in the fashion world, Béatrice draws and designs her own models. She gives priority to the cut, the quality of the materials and the comfort to make hers pieces essentials that are lasting.

She creates her own visuals with refined graphics which are inspired by nature and her bestiary for a very graphic interpretation .

TALE means story. These visuals are in their own way.

TALE is part of a simple approach: to offer a limited range of original, quality products, manufactured in limited series and with a reasonable environmental impact.

Screen printing is an ancestral printing technique brought from China by Marco Polo.

It works on the principle of the stencil and allows very beautiful flat colors.

The search for colors is a determining and important part of the work. There is not a green or a blue, but endless shades of green or blue. A good color combination will give a good visual.

Béatrice silkscreen by hand each piece in a traditional way.

All parts are printed by hand, one by one, color by color, in his studio in Paris.

Each print is different and unique .

Béatrice takes care of the manufacture of the bobs and bags herself in her workshop in Paris. They are produced in small quantities and in an artisanal way.

After initially looking for a manufacturing workshop in France, she turned to Portugal for the production of t-shirts and sweatshirts. She finds in Porto a family workshop which allows her to order small quantities and with which she has today built a relationship of trust.

The materials of the bobs and bags, mostly cotton, come from unsold stocks of the great Parisian fashion houses.

The sweatshirts and t-shirts are made from GOTS certified organic cotton.

This label implies that 95% of the fibers used must come from organic farming, thus guaranteeing the absence of chemicals, pesticides ... and a reduction in water consumption.

It also imposes strict requirements in production processes both from a social point of view in terms of protection of workers and respect for the environment .
